What to Expect.

Here’s a peek at what to expect during a typical interview process.

Apply

A recruiter will contact you about an open role OR you’ll apply for one of our open positions.

Recruiter Screen

A recruiter will set up a 30-minute phone interview where they’ll dig into your experience. They’ll also provide insight about the team, the role, and why we’re looking for new talent. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions about the company and its culture.

SME Screen

Experienced subject-matter experts (SME) will get down to the nitty-gritty during the next phone screen. Here, you’ll be able to ask more in-depth questions about how your experiences would fit in at Carbon Black and get more specific details about the team and role.

Onsite Interviews

In the next step for the interview process, anyone from the USA – both remote-based or office-based roles-- will come to the Waltham, Mass. HQ for an on-site interview. This on-site interview features a panel that typically includes the hiring manager, the HR partner, and a few members from the team. Each team member will have a range of experience and tenure to give you a well-rounded view of the company.
On occasion, we will have a second on-site interview, which could include another in-depth look into your expertise. For example, sales professionals may be asked to do a presentation or technologists can show off their technical aptitude through a whiteboard session.

Offer

After all interviews are completed and you’re considered a fit, the recruiter or hiring manager will give you a verbal offer, followed by a written offer.

Hire

Once the written offer is accepted and all pre-employment tasks are completed, our recruiter will touch base regularly before your start date to ensure you have everything you need to hit the ground running.

NEO

We want you to feel like you’re a part of the team from day one, which is why we created an extensive New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. In NEO, leaders and team members give insight into our history, mission, and more about the company. You’ll get a crash course into cybersecurity, our products, and our market position. You’ll also be able to mingle with other employees at the post-NEO bash.
